Journalism
As a communicator, it's important to have the skills and passion to tell any type of story, fiction or nonfiction. Following my passion for journalism, I partnered with the Grand Rapids Community Media center and The Rapidian, a hyperlocal news outlet in Grand Rapids. Over my final semester of grad school, I developed a multimedia journalism program for the organization to: increase reader engagement, recruit community journalists, and provide opportunities to expand their means of storytelling.
