A quick smile break was needed when I saw one of The Miracle League's wonderful participants bust out the world's greatest home-run celebration

Jesse Holcomb was my advisor for my Master's Project. He oversaw the development of my proposed Multimedia Journalism Program for The Rapidian. Jesse works as a Journalism Professor at Calvin, and his career is worthy of its own Google.

When I'm not geeking out over the latest news in film and media, you're more than likely to find me running, reading and relaxing with my friends and family. Growing up in a small community tucked away in Northern Michigan, I learned the value of collaboration and effective communication. Those skills were further developed in Grand Rapids, MI at Calvin University. With a BA in Film Production and Spanish, and a minor in Congregational Ministry Studies, I expanded my areas of study. Most recently I've completed my Masters degree in Media and Strategic Communication, also at Calvin. I approach every opportunity to be creative, whether it's by myself or in a collaborative group.
